Title: Police Reminder: Electric Scooters with Windshields Pose Safety Hazards, Several Areas Explore New Methods for Warmth without Compromising SafetyCostco Wholesale Corporation Reports First Quarter Fiscal Year 2025 Operating ResultsChairman All Progressive Congress APC Ebonyi State Chapter Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha has commended Governor Francis Nwifuru’s led administration for creating enabling environment for businesses to strive. According to him, the peace and security Nwifuru provided in the State including the completion of Chuba Okadigbo International Airport Runway has proven that his administration is doing very well. Okoro-Emegha stated this after the 2023 governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP in the State Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, accused Nwifuru government of wasting N20billion Ebonyi resources on the Airport. He said “We are not surprised, Anyi Chuks cannot say that the wife of the president’s visit to Ebonyi is a waste of fund. He is somebody who do not look beyond his nose. What is being at the centre of politics? Don’t you know that it is a plus if the president or the wife of the president visits a state. There is no way it will not attract a positive development. “Talking about our airport, if he is not myopic, he should have known that in the aviation industry, cement technology runway does not go because the smoothness of cement technology can never be the same with asphalting and that is what the governor has done. “The wife of the president landed there and said this is the best and the highest in the whole country. Who is Anyi Chuks to say it is a waste of fund? Since he feels he is a big man, he has private jet and flies to other states, why can’t he fly to our airport. Well, the Ebonyians want it and the governor knows the development it is going to bring to the state. “People from some part of Abia are going to use that airport. People from some areas of Cross River are going to use that airport. People from some parts of Okigwe in Imo State are going to be using that airport and Ebonyians will stop losing their lives trying to go to airport in Enugu. He also said that the governor buying aircraft is a waste of fund. I don’t join issues. He is a failed entity.” READ MORE FROM: NIGERIAN TRIBUNE Get real-time news updates from Tribune Online! The cryptocurrency landscape is teeming with potential, and eight outstanding types – Rexas Finance (RXS), Dogecoin (DOGE), Cardano (ADA), Uniswap (UNI), Bonk (BONK), Pepe Coin (PEPE), Stellar (XLM), and Mantra (OM) – are in their vanguard movement. Each of these tokens has a special appeal, and the time to dismiss them is now, before their next big breakout, which can bring life-changing gains to their holders. Let’s analyze why these cryptocurrencies deserve your time and attention. Rexas Finance (RXS): Revolutionizing Real-World Asset Tokenization Rexas Finance is one of the companies that are at the head of the pack in the development of blockchain technologies, with its emphasis on real-world property (RWA) asset tokenization. With RXS, thanks to the revolutionary technologies of blockchain, owners of real estate, fine art, and other valuables can digitize and fractionalize high-value assets. This innovation makes it possible to turn otherwise non-tradable assets into investable and tradable goods accessible to investors across the globe. What is more, Rexas Finance distinguishes itself with a holistic ecosystem. Rexas Token Builder makes the whole process of digital asset design as easy as possible, eliminating the need for coding knowledge. Rexas Estate changes the way to invest in real estate through the introduction of tokenization. Rexas Treasury is additionally a multi-chain yield optimizer that pays industry-leading rates to its investors. Furthermore, Rexas GenAI aids NFT developers with artificial intelligence, reducing workloads and increasing productivity. So far, the presale of the RXS has achieved remarkable feats. It has raised $18,542,800 and has sold 267,925,732 tokens (phases 1 to 8). RXS is currently in its 8th stage and is valued at $0.10. The coin has good prospects for appreciation and is attractive to early investors. By the start of 2025, it’s planned for RXS to be listed on three Tier-1 exchanges with an approximate price of $0.20. This implies that those who accepted the project early could make 6X returns after launching. Sustainability and growth are the cornerstones of RXS’s tokenomics. In the token creation scheme, throughout the entire token generation, the 1 billion mark will only include: 42.5% presale, 22.5% staking rewards, 15% for liquidity, and the remaining smaller percentages to regulatory cover, marketing, team incentivization, cooperation, and giveaways. The systematic distribution of tokens combines well so as not to collapse the economy. The Rexas Finance project also has a higher reputation due to the fact it is already listed on CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko, and these are valuable sources to look at for tracking such globally. Furthermore, the project has undergone a deep assurance CertiK audit, which further emphasizes the trustworthiness of the project. One million dollars worth of RXS tokens shall be won, with each of the twenty winners taking home $50,000 worth of tokens. This illustrates the community approach of the project. To join this particular one, go to the Rexas Finance page, perform simple actions such as liking their pages, and don’t miss your chance. Dogecoin (DOGE): The Resilient Meme Coin Dogecoin started off as a perceived gag but today is amongst the top ten most popular currencies. Currently valued at $0.3956 with a market cap of $58.15 billion, DOGE rides on the back of its solid community and expanding usage for microtransactions. With zero fees and quick turnover times, it also makes an attractive option for day-to-day payments. Thanks to the support of various figures such as Elon Musk, Dogecoin has a great chance of profiting in the next bull market. Cardano (ADA): A Blockchain for Sustainability Thanks to its research carried out by peers, Cardano is particularly focused on blockchain durability as well as scalability design. As ADA has a market cap of $34.69 billion and is priced at $0.989, it has soundly kept attracting developers as well as investors. Such a powerful ecosystem provides a sophisticated embedded system for powerful smart contract dApps, effectively establishing its capability as one of the blockchain-commanding positions in the industry. The box setting and fundamentals of the ADA coin are strong, which begs its appreciation up to $12 in the next market cycle. Uniswap (UNI): The DEX Monster Uniswap has removed the need for intermediaries by providing DEX and disrupting the tradition of centralized exchanges. At the moment, UNI has a price of $12.56 and a total market cap amount of $7.54 billion. This is essential to the DeFi ecosystem as a whole. With the relentless expansion of the DeFi protocol, on their part, Uniswap is always innovating and increasing its adoption. These will no doubt make them a strong and key player in the decentralized finance landscape, with room to grow over the next pre-intensive years. Bonk (BONK): The Solana-Based Meme Coin Listen to us: Bonk is a meme coin that also refers to Bonk as the ‘Shiba Inu of Solana,’ and it’s a meme coin. It’s also a meme coin, and it wants to appeal to the high throughput Solana Blockchain. With a price of $0.00004239 and a total market capitalization of $3.19 billion, BONK is optimally positioned in Solana as it gets the benefits of the scalability and the low fees offered. With Solana developing its ecosystem, surveyed and deflationary factors allow it to become much larger than today and gain a large community. Pepe Coin (PEPE): A Meme Coin that Has Changed the Focus of Attention Similar to other meme coins, which are highly dependent on viral marketing and community activities, this coin also differentiates itself from the rest in such a fashion. As for the rate, currently standing at $0.000001921 and a market valuation of $2.08 billion, it is no surprise that PEPE bears the title of being a favorite amongst meme coin enthusiasts. Given its capability to ride with the market trends, this currency can fetch considerable profits, making it a strong candidate for the next upswings. Stellar (XLM): Global Payments Solution Stellar involves the use of a blockchain protocol that integrates different currencies for low-cost cross-border transactions. As for the payment facilitation services, the token's current price is $0.4697, and its market capitalization has grown to roughly $14.12 billion. With the partnerships it has with worldwide organizations, the platform can surely transform the traditional methods of finance. Mantra (OM): Community-Focused on DeFi Applications Mantra is a DeFi project that combines staking, lending, and governance in a module of a single decentralized platform. Priced at $3.55 and with a market cap of $3.21 billion, OM's strategy of building a community and relevance around it transparently has become successful. Moreover, with the pace of DeFi being adopted globally, Mantra’s wide ecosystem makes it perfectly positioned for future growth. (AP) — Cam Miller threw three touchdown passes, ran for another and second-seeded North Dakota State blew past a 14-point deficit to beat 15th-seeded Abilene Christian 51-31 on Saturday in the second round of the FCS playoffs. The Bison (11-2), in the FCS playoffs for a 15th straight season and winner of nine FCS titles, will host seventh-seeded Mercer in the quarterfinals. Abilene Christian (9-5) took a 17-3 lead on a 13-yard TD pass from Maverick McIvor to J.J. Henry, a 90-yard run by Sam Hicks and a Ritse Vaes 29-yard field goal early in the second quarter. The Bison then took over, starting with Jackson Williams' 100-yard kickoff return to start a run of 31 consecutive points, 17 coming in the second quarter for a 20-17 halftime lead. The scoring streak ended when Nehemiah Martinez’s 53-yard return helped set up Hicks’ 3-yard score to get the Wildcats within 34-24. But the Bison matched that TD on their ensuing drive on Miller’s 36-yard connection with Bryce Lance to cap their 21-point third quarter. Again, the Wildcats got within 10 early in the fourth quarter on Rovaughn Banks Jr.’s 2-yard TD run. But NDSU’s Marcus Gulley returned an interception 37 yards to the ACU 9 and the Crosa kicked a field goal and Logan Kopp followed with a 31-yard pick-6. Miller was 20 of 29 for 274 yards passing. McIvor threw for 153 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. Hicks ran for 153 yards on 16 carries. ACU, champion of the United Athletic Conference, was in its first FCS playoffs since joining the classification in 2013, and beat Northern Arizona in its first-round game. Crosa has made his 262nd career PAT to pass NDSU's Cam Pederson (2015-18) and set an FCS record. For fans of the club, the outcome of the hearing holds significant implications for the future. A favorable ruling would not only vindicate Manchester City's reputation but also reaffirm their position as one of the most dominant forces in the sport. However, a negative judgment could lead to severe repercussions, ranging from hefty fines to potential expulsion from European competitions.Morgan Rogers looked to have given Unai Emery’s side another famous win when he slammed a loose ball home at the death, but referee Jesus Gil Manzano ruled Diego Carlos to have fouled Juve goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio and the goal was chalked off. It was a disappointment for Villa, who remain unbeaten at home in their debut Champions League campaign and are still in contention to qualify automatically for the last 16. A very controversial finish at Villa Park 😲 Morgan Rogers' late goal is ruled out for a foul on Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio and the match ends 0-0 ❌ 📺 @tntsports & @discoveryplusUK pic.twitter.com/MyYL5Vdy3r — Football on TNT Sports (@footballontnt) November 27, 2024 Emiliano Martinez had earlier displayed why he was named the best goalkeeper in the world as his wonder save kept his side level in the second half. The Argentina international paraded his two Yashin Trophies on the pitch before kick-off at Villa Park and then showed why he won back-to-back FIFA awards when he denied Francisco Conceicao. Before Rogers’ moment of drama in the fourth minute of added time, the closest Villa came to scoring was in the first half when Lucas Digne’s free-kick hit the crossbar. But a draw was a fair result which leaves Villa out of the top eight on goal difference and Juventus down in 19th. Before the game Emery called Juventus one of the “best teams in the world, historically and now”, but this was an Italian side down to the bare bones. Only 14 outfield players made the trip from Turin, with striker Dusan Vlahovic among those who stayed behind. The opening 30 minutes were forgettable before the game opened up. Ollie Watkins, still chasing his first Champions League goal, had Villa’s first presentable chance as he lashed an effort straight at Di Gregorio. Matty Cash then had a vicious effort from the resulting corner which was blocked by Federico Gatti and started a counter-attack which ended in Juventus striker Timothy Weah. Villa came closest to breaking the deadlock at the end of the first half when Digne’s 20-yard free-kick clipped the top of the crossbar and went over. Martinez then produced his brilliant save just after the hour. A corner made its way through to the far post where Conceicao was primed to head in at the far post, but Martinez sprawled himself across goal to scoop the ball away. How has he kept that one out?! 🤯 Emi Martinez with an INCREDIBLE save to keep it goalless at Villa Park ⛔️ 📺 @tntsports & @discoveryplusUK pic.twitter.com/OkcWHB7YIk — Football on TNT Sports (@footballontnt) November 27, 2024 Replays showed most of the ball went over the line, but the Argentinian got there with millimetres to spare. At the other end another fine goal-line block denied John McGinn as Manuel Locatelli got his foot in the way with Di Gregorio beaten. The game looked to be petering out until a last-gasp free-kick saw Rogers slam home, but whistle-happy official Gil Manzano halted the celebrations by ruling the goal out.One of the key advantages of micro OLED displays is their ability to deliver incredibly high pixel density, resulting in sharper images and more vibrant colors. Intech Investment Management LLC Makes New Investment in Cross Country Healthcare, Inc. (NASDAQ:CCRN)BEIRUT (AP) — Insurgents' stunning march across Syria gained speed on Saturday with news that they had reached the suburbs of the capital and with the government forced to deny rumors that President Bashar Assad had fled the country. The rebels' moves around Damascus, reported by an opposition war monitor and a rebel commander, came after the Syrian army withdrew from much of southern part of the country, leaving more areas, including two provincial capitals, under the control of opposition fighters. The advances in the past week were among the largest in recent years by opposition factions, led by a group that has its origins in al-Qaida and is considered a terrorist organization by the U.S. and the United Nations. As they have advanced, the insurgents, led by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group, or HTS, have met little resistance from the Syrian army. The U.N.’s special envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, on Saturday called for urgent talks in Geneva to ensure an “orderly political transition.” Speaking to reporters at the annual Doha Forum in Qatar, he said the situation in Syria was changing by the minute. In Damascus, people rushed to stock up on supplies. Thousands rushed the Syria border with Lebanon, trying to leave the country. Many shops in the capital were shuttered, a resident told The Associated Press, and those that remained open ran out of staples such as sugar. Some shops were selling items at three times the normal price. “The situation is very strange. We are not used to that,” the resident said, insisting on anonymity, fearing retributions. “People are worried whether there will be a battle (in Damascus) or not.” It was the first time that opposition forces reach the outskirts of Damascus since 2018, when Syrian troops recaptured the area following a yearslong siege. Amid the developments, Syria’s state media denied rumors flooding social media that Assad has left the country, saying he is performing his duties in Damascus. Assad's chief international backer, Russia, is busy with its war in Ukraine . Lebanon’s powerful Hezbollah, which at one point sent thousands of fighters to shore up Assad's forces, has been weakened by a yearlong conflict with Israel. Iran, meanwhile, has seen its proxies across the region degraded by regular Israeli airstrikes. Pedersen said a date for the talks in Geneva on the implementation of U.N. Resolution 2254 would be announced later. The resolution, adopted in 2015, called for a Syrian-led political process, starting with the establishment of a transitional governing body, followed by the drafting of a new constitution and ending with U.N.-supervised elections. Rami Abdurrahman, who heads the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an opposition war monitor, said insurgents were in the Damascus suburbs of Maadamiyah, Jaramana and Daraya. Opposition fighters were also marching from eastern Syria toward the Damascus suburb of Harasta, he added. A commander with the insurgents, Hassan Abdul-Ghani, posted on the Telegram messaging app that opposition forces had begun the “final stage” of their offensive by encircling Damascus. Syria’s military, meanwhile, sent large numbers of reinforcements to defend the key central city of Homs, Syria’s third largest, as insurgents approached its outskirts. The shock offensive began Nov. 27, during which gunmen captured the northern city of Aleppo, Syria’s largest, and the central city of Hama , the country’s fourth largest city. HTS leader Abu Mohammed al-Golani told CNN in an interview Thursday from Syria that the aim is to overthrow Assad’s government. The Britain-based Observatory said Syrian troops have withdrawn from much of the two southern provinces and are sending reinforcements to Homs, where a battle is looming. If the insurgents capture Homs, they would cut the link between Damascus, Assad’s seat of power, and the coastal region where the president enjoys wide support. The Syrian army said in a statement Saturday that it has carried out redeployment and repositioning in Sweida and Daraa after its checkpoints came under attack by “terrorists.” The army said it is setting up a “strong and coherent defensive and security belt in the area,” apparently to defend Damascus from the south. The Syrian government has referred to opposition gunmen as terrorists since conflict broke out in March 2011. After the fall of the cities of Daraa and Sweida early Saturday, Syrian government forces remained in control of five provincial capitals — Damascus, Homs and Quneitra, as well as Latakia and Tartus on the Mediterranean coast. Tartus is home to the only Russian naval base outside the former Soviet Union while Latakia is home to a major Russian air base. In the gas-rich nation of Qatar, the foreign ministers of Iran, Russia and Turkey met to discuss the situation in Syria. Turkey is a main backer of the rebels. Qatar's top diplomat, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, criticized Assad for failing to take advantage of the lull in fighting in recent years to address the country’s underlying problems. “Assad didn’t seize this opportunity to start engaging and restoring his relationship with his people,” he said. Sheikh Mohammed said he was surprised by how quickly the rebels have advanced and said there is a real threat to Syria’s “territorial integrity.” He said the war could “damage and destroy what is left if there is no sense of urgency” to start a political process. After the fall of the cities of Daraa and Sweida early Saturday, Syrian government forces remained in control of five provincial capitals — Damascus, Homs and Quneitra, as well as Latakia and Tartus on the Mediterranean coast. On Friday, U.S.-backed fighters of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces captured wide parts of the eastern province of Deir el-Zour that borders Iraq as well as the provincial capital that carries the same name. The capture of areas in Deir el-Zour is a blow to Iran’s influence in the region as the area is the gateway to the corridor linking the Mediterranean to Iran, a supply line for Iran-backed fighters, including Lebanon’s Hezbollah. With the capture of a main border crossing with Iraq by the SDF and after opposition fighters took control of the Naseeb border crossing to Jordan in southern Syria, the Syrian government's only gateway to the outside world is the Masnaa border crossing with Lebanon. Karam reported from London. Associated Press writers Albert Aji in Damascus, Syria and Qassim Abdul-Zahra in Baghdad contributed to this report.
